REDIY Arts Residency
Receiving the 2023 New Colombo Plan Scholarship award for community and academic excellence, as the first dedicated visual artist to have done so, funding for a year long academic study and working trip to live in Kyoto was secured.
This allowed participation in local arts collectives, zine events, and the incredibly rare opportunity to learn both the Koto Zither, and the extremely fine woodworking method of Nōh Mask Carving.
